The company was founded 1922 in Munich - Germany and was called "Elektromedizinische Werkstätten". During the second world war the buildings were completely destroyed and so the company was new promoted in Landau/Isar - Germany - in 1946. The company is named "EWEM - JANUS Inh. Waltraud Janus" since 1979. The company is 100% private. The staff is 15 persons. EWEM - JANUS produces X-Ray and darkroom accessoires.

Since 1997 all products are according to ISO 9003.
